About the e-Award

The Excellence in e-Government Award, the e-Award, was introduced in 2006 by the Australian Government to promote excellence in the use of ICT in Australia at all levels of government. The e-Award is administered by the Australian Government Information Management Office.

The primary focus of the e-Award is the promotion of excellence in the use of ICT by government. The e-Award recognises the most outstanding, initiatives in e-government that have been implemented in the past two years. This is based on the positive impact they have had on the lives of Australian citizens, the community and business while improving the efficiency and effectiveness of government administration and service delivery.
